As
an independent company, Tha Nu Era Music Group is aiming for the mainstream industry. "This underground s#%@ ain't us," states
Nu Era Icon, Gamm LeBeau. "I mean, we'll take the steps we gotta take, but we make music! We're the type of artists that'll
get on a joint like SMACK and only be on there one time, before some company throws a deal at us."
Established
July 21st, 2004, The NEW ERA of rappers, singers, models, and dancers, are striving now to be the best that they can become.
"I respect Ant a lot for what he is doing with what used to be a dream of rapping for him." Managing VP, Whitney Williams
comments. "All he wanted to do was rap. He's evolved one idea into another. And he's been evolving ideas ever since. Now he
has his own government-protected record label, that has so much structure and deals with more than one aspect in the music
industry."
Don't
get it twisted though, because what you see now didn't come over night. "This label took a lot of time to build." says Managing
Vice President, Andre Whaley. "I've known Ant for 3 and a half years. I know about the 513 Records episode that didn't work
for him. He didn't quit though. Ant went back to the drawing board. And every night since July 21st, 2004, he has contributed
a new piece to this puzzle."
"It's
taken some help from my closest friends for me to really put it down like this." Gamm comments. "There has always been times
where I was like, 'this won't work.' My front office are the people I know who trust me the most, and who believe in me the
most. They're my closest friends outside of the industry." Gamm appreciates everyone who has anything to do with Tha Nu Era,
from The FRONT OFFICE to The STREET TEAM... to the fans watching The NEW ERA make moves. "Ant has to be one of the most focused
individuals I know." Senior Vice President, Upton Darden states. "He has so much drive when it comes to this. And he's not
just makin albums either. Ant deals with the label in everyway, and he's not purposely doin this, but Ant is forming himself
into a young Jay-Z. This now, 20 year old young man, is doing all kinds of things with Tha Nu Era, from setting shows up,
to having young women show their talents as dancers at these shows. I promise he has a gift."
The NEW
ERA will face any challenges the world gives them... And soon the world will watch this band of youth grow as they conquer
every stepping stone in the way. "My brother wants more for this label than anyone." Says his younger brother, and Managing
Vice President, Devon Trotter. "He wants us to blow up bigger than Roc-A-Fella. It sounds outta there, but he's goin in the
right direction with how things are set up here, and he just hit 20! He wants us to be somethin like a new Roc' Dynasty. I
have faith in him. I believe he... 'we' can make this happen."
So our
mission to me has more value to it than a mission. Our movement... to take on any challenges the world throws our way. We
do more than rap and sing. We love what we do. We put passion into what we produce. We make music. But since we have models
and dancers, our movement can't be one-dementional. It has to be universal. Which is why it is, what it is...
